For over 20 years, TRI Austin managed the Nondestructive Testing Information Analysis Center (NTIAC), under contract from the Defense Technology Information Center (DTIC). We continued this support as a subcontractor to Alion, Inc. to provide NDE expertise on the Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Information Analysis Center (AMMTIAC), and currently provide support to Survice Engineering, Inc. in the areas of NDE and Materials for the Defense Systems Information Analysis Center (DSIAC).

TRI Austin was responsible for the development of the NTIAC “NDE Capabilities Databood”, which is an industry standard reference. We have conducted many Probability of Detection (POD) studies, including the Air Force’s NDI Improvement Program. We act as consultants on complex NDE issues, including supporting the Space Shuttle Return to Flight and Air Force NDI Improvement programs.
