TRI Austin developed an optimized man portable flexible container that protects divers from multiple hazards related to carry-on equipment being exposed to pressure during submergence, including harmful off-gases, fire, and implosion or explosion of uncompensated volumes.

Implosion characterization tests were conducted to determine the risk from implosions. Lithium ion battery fire tests were conducted to demonstrate methods to reduce the risks associated with those fires. Off gas testing was performed to verify that all materials used can meet the submarine atmospheric control requirements. Engineering development models were delivered to the Special Operations Community for testing and evaluation in a real-world environment.
