Tough-Grip® Non-Skid Surface Coatings for Navy Fleet Application

Non-skid coating materials are used for treatment of aircraft carrier flight deck surfaces and ship deck applications. Legacy non-skid products require frequent replacement, generating large amounts of hazardous materials and requiring the expenditure of scarce maintenance funds. These systems, such as the ones used on aircraft carrier flight decks, have poor resistance to chemicals and corrosion.

To respond to this need, we developed entirely new non-skid coating systems that have substantially improved performance when compared with available products. Applications for the new non-skid coating systems include landing areas on aircraft carrier flight decks, weather and hangar decks, vehicular ramps and decks, helicopter pads, truck ramps, work-decks and walkways, and offshore platform decks.

Commercial applications include non-skid roadway materials and non-skid recreational coatings for areas such as swimming pools and tennis courts.
